Welcome to...
Praise and Worship Bass Guitar!
Hi, this is your host, GAbaptist, and I want to welcome you to my bass guitar blog! Here you will be able to learn how to play some of my favorite Christian music on the bass guitar. The bass guitar is an important part of a praise band and I just wanted to share some of bass guitar tabs and songs that may help you improve your own playing. I also like to review bass guitars and equipment from time to time, so stop by often and see what's up!

How to Play "If We've Ever Needed You" by Casting Crowns
I received a request to do a video of "If We've Ever Needed You" by Casting Crowns, so here is my take on the song as far as bass goes. A lot of 8th note measures, but sometimes I like to vary it a little with different rhythms. It's another good song for practicing a good steady rhythm and keeping time. The recorded version of this song is in the key of D. I hope this helps anyone wanting to learn how to play this song on bass.

ReplyDeleteI'm really learning a lot from your posts. I don't want to bother you but do you think you could do the tabs for "How many Kings" by Downhere? I can't read music and can't figure it out. My wife and I love this song so I want to learn it for her. Thanks and I pray you and yours have a super blessed Christmas

ReplyDeleteA good bassist can often rescue a mediocre group, while a bad bassist can easily destroy a great group. Bass is a very powerful instrument.
